Connection Lab – Support Group Confidentiality Agreement
At Connection Lab, we value trust, safety, and respect. Our support groups are designed to provide a confidential, compassionate, and non-judgmental space for participants.
By joining any Connection Lab support group, you agree to the following:
Confidentiality Commitment

What is shared in the group stays in the group

Do not share names, stories, experiences, or identifying details of other participants outside the group

This applies to in-person, virtual, written, and online discussions
Limits of Confidentiality
While we emphasize confidentiality:

Connection Lab cannot guarantee confidentiality if a participant chooses to share information outside the group

Facilitators may be required to break confidentiality if there is a credible threat of harm to self or others, or if legally required
Respectful Participation
Participants agree to:

Speak from personal experience (“I” statements)

Avoid judgment, advice-giving, or correction unless invited

Honor cultural, spiritual, and personal differences

Maintain a trauma-informed and respectful tone
Not Therapy
Connection Lab support groups are peer-support and educational spaces, not group therapy or counseling.
Participation does not replace professional mental health or medical care.
